Osteopathy is based on the fact that structure governs function, osteopathy looks at the body as a whole to reveal dysfunction, we then implement different treatments to help the body to find balance. Expect to be up and down off of the table, assessing, treating and reassessing dysfunction. While these treatments can be very relaxing they are very different from massage therapy. Treatments include, various techniques ranging from fascial release, cranial, visceral (organ work), to the parasympathetic/sympathetic nervous system, cardiovascular system, lymphatics system etc and how all of these systems work together to keep us healthy and functioning as a whole.
Registered Massage therapist Brittany Dalziel, is currently in her fourth year of study with the Canadian College of Osteopathy. As with everything it is a skill that takes a lot of practice and experience to fully Master.
Brit is slowly dipping her toes into working with clients. Because she is not yet finished school, she is not registered and therefore is unable to issue insurance receipts for these appointments.
Please bring any paperwork involving recent scans such as MRI, X-rays etc to your appointment.
Please bring a pair of shorts, and women please bring a sports bra for proper assessment. Expect some talk and a lot of assessment in your first appointments.
Brit would like to thank you for giving her the opportunity to cultivate her skills.
